Seher Uysal
Seher Uysal, Ph.D. (1983, Istanbul). Independent researcher, visual artist. Studied Communication and Social Sciences at the beginning of her career then changed her field of study and turned her gaze into a more subjective area; Arts. Holding a Ph.D. degree in Fine Arts, she has now a more academic focus. Consistent with the variety of her educational interests, her investigations as a visual artist and a researcher vary in many different forms and disciplines: Images and imagery, mass media, photography, cinema, everyday studies, history, and art education. After working as a lecturer in 2012 and 2013 in Kocaeli University, Fine Arts Faculty; she has started to research on education models and is a proud member of the teaching team in Nesin Art Village which concentrates on alternative art education in Turkey. She published articles and interviews in many magazines and academic periodicals about art and visual culture. Also had the opportunity to exhibit her works on national and international platforms.
